Feminine. In pink or black, in a dress or pants, barefoot or with heels, with long hair or completely shaved; but feminine.
This was the woman that Argemiro Sierra presented in Colombiamoda, as a reflection on the importance of women taking care of and loving themselves.
“It is a topic that seems super beautiful to me, it is about touching, not only the hearts of people, but also the minds of women, telling them to love themselves, to take care of themselves, to look pretty but not to Don't worry, let your subconscious connect with your brain and say: I am a beautiful woman, who should take care of herself," says the designer.
He developed this fashion idea through three colors: pink, gray and black; which mean “femininity, and also all the strength that women have to be cured of cancer, but also to prevent it.”
With a combination of synthetic furs, which seem to float when the models walk, fabrics and transparencies, the designer created garments that look heavy but are soft and delicate to the touch. Their silhouettes are loose, wide, since: "I don't want beauty to start from having to hug the curves, to make them look beautiful because they are wearing tight clothes, the idea is to show them that they can be completely square, but beautiful."
Beyond the themes, Argemiro Sierra says that his search is for sensations, emotions and sincere creation, which takes place for hours in his workshop. He joins each piece of his garment, observes what the final product looks like and, when there is a connection with what has been achieved, he feels that it is ready; otherwise dismantle it and start again.
“The need to project myself as I am was what brought me to fashion. I want to express myself in a way, and if I can't achieve it, I look for how to do it. Of course, I am always casual, I am not a red carpet person. For a cruise, for a wedding, for everything I am casual. And that's how I am in my life, everything you do is an extension of who you are," he concludes.
